Far too often I hear Christians ask “God, what are you going to do in my life”, “God, what are you going to do for me when” or “God, what are you going to do for me if”. And once they are done ask God what He is going to do, they go right on with their life as if nothing else matters but them.
My brothers and sisters, God has already shown us His plan, but far too often we are stuck in our own lives to see His plan. It is not just a plan for me or you individually. Sure He loves us and wants for us to have the desires of our heart. But His plan is one for all of us collectively.
John 3:16 reveals His plan in all its simplistic beauty. Let’s look at the New Living Translation. “For this is how God loved the world:” This is God’s desire, to love the world and all in it. The passage continues on to say that ” He gave his one and only Son”. He gave Jesus, whom acted as a bridge from this world to home, so we can return home.
That’s his Plan. Far too often we look at the nitty gritty details. “The devil is in the details” is something I have been told far too many times. God however is in the big picture. God is love and love is what need to share with others. If we have charity, love in action, we can help fulfill God’s plan in our lives.
